Vision
- That residents and visitors of Beirut from all over the world would encounter the transforming grace of Jesus Christ.
International Community Church seeks to realize this vision by:
- creating grace-filled gatherings of worship, hearing the Word of God, Communion and fellowship, and
- sending out people transformed by Christ’s grace to witness to Christ in word, character and action
Values
- Unity in diversity: Christ makes us one, and we appreciate our differences, believing that a worship styles, cultures and social situations enriches our community and enables us corporately to reflect the multi-faceted life of the Trinity.
- Hearing the Word of God: God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit, and through the Scriptures being read, preached, studied, remembered and lived, and we receive and heed God’s word wholeheartedly.
- Patient encouragement: God calls us to imitate His patient self-investment in the salvation, healing and growth of others, but He reserves judgement for Himself. Therefore, we shepherd other sinners with the same calm, non-judgemental, patient and persistent care and spiritual nurture which we ourselves long to experience.
- Equipping God’s people for ministry: The Holy Spirit calls, inhabits, empowers and gives gifts to every believer at ICC, and we seek to identify ways in which all can become mature disciples, wisely developing and contributing their gifts, among them gifts of lay leadership.
- Love, mercy and justice: God loves humanity and demands justice and mercy. We witness to the justice, love and mercy of God through advocating justice, defending the weak, and through generous acts of charity.
- Fellowship: God has invited us into fellowship with Himself and His people, and we experience God through fellowship with other members of the family of faith, in and beyond our formal worship gatherings.
